Talk to our Emirates and Dubai flight specialists. We'll answer it and check fares for your dates.

Which UK airports does Emirates fly from?

Emirates flies direct to Dubai from eight UK airports: London Heathrow, London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Newcastle, Glasgow and Edinburgh. From Dubai, you can connect to the rest of its network on the same ticket.

How long is an Emirates flight from London to Dubai?

The direct flight from London Heathrow to Dubai takes about 7 hours. Emirates runs 42 flights a week on this route, and most use the Airbus A380 double-decker.

What is the Emirates Economy baggage allowance?

On most routes from the UK, including Dubai, Pakistan and Asia, Economy fares include 20kg on Special, 25kg on Saver, 30kg on Flex and 35kg on Flex Plus. Each bag can weigh up to 32kg. You can also bring a 7kg cabin bag up to 55 x 38 x 22 cm. Flights to Africa and the Americas use a piece system instead.

What is the difference between Special, Saver, Flex and Flex Plus?

Special is Emirates' lowest fare, with some restrictions. Saver is slightly more flexible. Flex allows changes and cancellations for a fee, and Flex Plus is fully flexible. The baggage allowance and free seat selection also increase with each fare. We can quote more than one fare so you can compare.

Can I choose my seat for free on Emirates?

Flex fares include a free regular seat when you book, and Flex Plus fares include free regular and preferred seats. On Special and Saver fares, choosing a seat in advance costs extra, but every Economy passenger can pick a seat for free once online check-in opens, 48 hours before the flight.

Can I stop over in Dubai on the way?

Yes. You can break your journey in Dubai and stay a few days before flying on. British passport holders get a free visit visa on arrival in the UAE, valid for up to 90 days in any 180-day period, and your passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the day you arrive.

Which Emirates flights from the UK use the A380?

Most London Heathrow flights use the A380, and the double-decker also flies to other UK airports on some services. The aircraft can change by season, so we'll show you which plane is on your flight when we quote.

Is Emirates flying normally after the 2026 disruption?

In early 2026, airspace closures in the region led Emirates to suspend some flights for a short time. Flights from the UK restarted in March 2026, and by May about 96% of the Emirates network had been restored. We always check the latest schedule before you book.
